Biography
Lord Monckton’s team conductsperceptive research where climatology and economics meet. He lectures worldwide. In 2009 his speech on YouTube condemning the draft Copenhagen climate treaty was viewed by 5 million people.In 2010, on a mountain-top in West Virginia, he addressed a Labor Day rally of 100,000 mineworkers on why coal does more good than harm. In 2011 his WattsUpWithThat posting condemning the draft Durban Treaty was the most-read of 500,000 blog postings hosted by WordPress that day, leading to the abandonment of half the Durban text within 24 hours. He was Nerenberg Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Western Ontario in 2013. He holds the Meese-Noble Award for Freedom, the Valiant-for-Truth Award and the Intelligence Medal of the Army of Colombia for his research into climate sensitivity. He is working on a paper demonstrating that global warming will occur at only half the originally-predicted rate.
